Day 05 — Your favorite quote
uhhh… hard one… I have a .doc file with some of my favorites, and several times I post quotes here, so… I’ll post one now. That’s my personal favorite, I know it’s by Oscar Wilde and loving quotes by Oscar Wilde is unoriginal, but oh well.
“Education is an admirable thing, but it is well to remember from time to time that nothing that is worth knowing can be taught. ” Oscar Wilde
“-Do you know anything about geometry?
-I know it’s what you say when you turn into a tree!
-What?
-“Gee, I’m a tree”!”
Kandi, in Two and a Half Men.
“Ah, happiness courts the light, so we deem the world is gay, but misery hides aloof, so we deem that misery there is none. ”
Herman Melville (in Bartleby the scrivener).
I strongly recommend “Bartleby the scrivener”. If you can put your hands in it, it’s a fantastic book, and Herman Melville is a fantastic author, I hadn’t read anything by him before that, but the Americans sure as always can get the job done (no irony here, anybody who enjoys reading understands me). By the way, Herman Melville is also the author of “Moby Dick”, if you haven’t identified him by the name. His works are world’s literature classics, they have no copyright, so, YOU CAN DOWNLOAD HERMAN MELVILLE’S BOOKS FOR FREE (AND LEGALLY):
